2. ADAS Calibrations
ADAS systems are safety-related vehicle systems that may include cameras, radar sensors, lidar, ultrasonic sensors, and other electronic components. Calibration requirements vary by vehicle manufacturer and may be affected by:
-
Previous collision damage
-
Vehicle structural condition
-
Suspension or steering components
-
Wheel alignment
-
Ride height
-
Tire size or condition
-
Replacement or damaged sensors
-
Windshield replacement

-

Environmental or workspace conditions
Novatech will perform calibration procedures according to available manufacturer requirements, service information, and applicable equipment procedures. A calibration service does not guarantee that an underlying vehicle problem, damaged component, wiring issue, mechanical issue, software issue, or pre-existing condition will be corrected. If a vehicle cannot be properly calibrated because of an underlying condition, Novatech may stop the calibration procedure and recommend additional diagnosis or repairs.
3. Customer and Repair Facility Responsibilities
The vehicle owner, customer, repair facility, or party requesting service is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is in suitable condition for the requested service. Before calibration or programming, the customer or repair facility should disclose any known:
-
Collision damage
-
Previous repairs
-
Structural damage
-
Suspension or steering repairs
-
Wheel alignment concerns
-
Windshield or bumper replacement
-
Sensor replacement
-
Warning lights or diagnostic trouble codes
-
Vehicle modifications
-
Previous calibration attempts
-
Programming or software issues
Novatech is not responsible for problems resulting from information that was not disclosed before service.
4. Vehicle Condition
Novatech is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden damage, improperly repaired vehicles, defective components, electrical problems, mechanical problems, structural issues, or other conditions that existed before Novatech began performing services. If the condition of a vehicle prevents a proper calibration or service from being completed, Novatech may decline or discontinue the service. Additional diagnostic or repair services may be required before calibration can be completed.
5. Diagnostic Services
Diagnostic scanning and testing are intended to identify potential faults and assist in determining the cause of a vehicle concern. A diagnostic scan does not guarantee that a specific component is defective or that a repair will resolve the vehicle concern. Additional testing, manufacturer procedures, component inspection, or repair may be necessary. Diagnostic results may also be affected by intermittent faults, software limitations, communication issues, aftermarket equipment, or other vehicle conditions.
6. Programming and Software Services
Programming, coding, configuration, initialization, and related electronic services may require manufacturer-specific software, subscriptions, internet connectivity, stable battery voltage, or additional equipment. Novatech will take reasonable precautions to perform programming procedures properly. However, electronic programming procedures can be affected by vehicle condition, software availability, communication interruptions, power loss, pre-existing module problems, or manufacturer software. Novatech is not responsible for pre-existing module failures or problems caused by conditions outside of its reasonable control.
7. Calibration Results
Completion of a calibration procedure does not guarantee that every ADAS warning, diagnostic trouble code, system limitation, or vehicle concern will be resolved. Some systems may require additional repairs, programming, initialization, alignment, or manufacturer-specific procedures. Where applicable, Novatech may provide documentation indicating that a requested calibration or procedure was completed based on the available information and equipment.
8. Parts and Repairs
Novatech does not assume responsibility for parts supplied or installed by customers, repair facilities, vehicle owners, or third parties. If a component is defective, incorrectly installed, improperly repaired, damaged, or incompatible with the vehicle, additional service may be required. Novatech may recommend replacement or repair of a component before completing a calibration.
9. Mobile Service
Novatech provides mobile services at locations determined or approved by Novatech. The customer or repair facility is responsible for providing a reasonably safe and suitable work area. Certain calibration procedures may require specific environmental conditions, adequate space, level flooring, lighting, clearances, or other requirements. If the provided location does not meet the requirements necessary to perform a service safely or accurately, Novatech may postpone, relocate, or cancel the service.
10. Service Appointmens and Cancellations
Appointments are subject to availability. Novatech reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment when circumstances prevent the service from being performed safely or properly. This may include:
-
Unsafe working conditions
-
Severe weather
-
Vehicle condition
-
Equipment failure
-
Lack of required information
-
Inability to access required manufacturer information
-
Unexpected diagnostic or repair requirements
-
Other circumstances outside of Novatech's reasonable control
Any applicable cancellation or service fees will be communicated to the customer before being charged.
11. Pricing and Payment
Service pricing is based on the services requested and the vehicle's specific requirements. Additional charges may apply when additional services, procedures, equipment, manufacturer software, programming, diagnostic work, or other requirements are identified. Customers are responsible for payment of all authorized services and applicable fees. Novatech reserves the right to require payment before or immediately following completion of services.
12. Estimates and Additional Services
Any estimate provided by Novatech is based on the information available at the time of the estimate. An estimate is not a guarantee of the final cost. If additional work is required, Novatech will communicate the additional service and associated cost when reasonably possible before proceeding.
13. Warranty Disclaimer
Except where expressly provided in writing, Novatech does not provide a warranty covering the overall operation of a vehicle, vehicle components, manufacturer systems, or repairs performed by third parties. Novatech's liability for a service shall, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount actually paid to Novatech for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
